What is a Cyclopentane Polyurethane High-Pressure Foaming Injection Machine?

Industry news-

A cyclopentane polyurethane high-pressure foaming injection machine is a precision machine specifically designed for producing rigid polyurethane foam. Its core feature is the use of the environmentally friendly blowing agent cyclopentane, replacing traditional chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). This machine achieves efficient foaming and molding of polyurethane raw materials through a high-pressure mixing and injection process. This equipment plays a vital role in modern industrial production and is particularly suitable for applications requiring stringent thermal insulation performance, such as refrigerator and freezer insulation, building wall insulation, and automotive parts.

Technically, this machine uses a high-pressure system to deliver raw materials—polyether polyol, isocyanate, and cyclopentane foaming agent—in precise proportions to a mixing head. Under a high-pressure environment of 10-20 MPa, the components are instantly and evenly mixed. Cyclopentane, a physical foaming agent, vaporizes during the reaction to form a microscopic closed-cell foam structure, giving the final product excellent thermal insulation properties (the thermal conductivity can be as low as 0.022 W/(m·K)) while meeting environmental regulations for ozone layer protection.

The core of the equipment lies in its high-pressure mixing system. The raw materials collide within the mixing head at high speeds of 200-400 m/s, ensuring uniform mixing within microseconds, resulting in a foam structure with fine, evenly distributed cells. Furthermore, the entire system is equipped with a precise temperature control device to maintain temperature stability during raw material transportation, preventing premature volatilization or condensation of cyclopentane, which could affect foam quality. Furthermore, because cyclopentane is flammable, the equipment incorporates explosion-proof features, including a nitrogen protection system, static elimination, and combustible gas concentration monitoring, to ensure safe production.

In practical applications, cyclopentane polyurethane high-pressure foaming injection machines offer higher molding efficiency than traditional low-pressure foaming equipment, with single shot volumes ranging from several kilograms to tens of kilograms. Furthermore, the closed-cell ratio of foamed products exceeds 90%, and the compressive strength is increased by over 20%. Furthermore, due to cyclopentane's extremely low global warming potential (GWP), this technology complies with EU F-Gas regulations and China's environmental protection policies, making it a mainstream choice for the home appliance industry following the phase-out of fluorinated blowing agents.
