Thoroughly clean the mixing head (gun head): This is the most critical maintenance. After each job, be sure to clean the mixing head immediately to remove all foam residue and prevent solidification and clogging. It is recommended to use a dedicated cleaning agent (such as dichloromethane) for a circulating cleaning process.
Inspect and Lubricate: Clean the mixing area below the machine head, the shaft, and the discharge port daily to remove any solidified foaming liquid residue and apply lubricant. Gun heads should be lubricated according to their type: For gun heads with built-in lubrication systems, ensure daily cleaning of the DOP return filter; for manually lubricated gun heads, refill with DOP (dioctyl phthalate) several times daily for lubrication.
External Cleaning: Wipe the equipment surface to remove dust and oil, and keep it clean, especially the electrical components.
2. Short-term, Mid-term, and Long-term Downtime Maintenance
Maintenance during equipment downtime is equally important, and the focus varies depending on the length of downtime. Short-term downtime (<7 days): Generally, no special treatment is required, but ensure the equipment is cleaned and stored in a cool, ventilated area.
Medium-term downtime (7 days to 3 months):
Regular startup: It is recommended to start the equipment every 7-10 days to circulate the raw materials (especially the black material) under high pressure for 5-10 minutes to prevent precipitation or crystallization from clogging the pipelines.
If regular circulation is not possible, the black material (isocyanate) system must be thoroughly cleaned and filled with DOP or dioctyl ester for sealing.
Long-term downtime (>3 months):
System cleaning is required: It is best to thoroughly circulate and flush the entire material system (especially the black material system) with a dedicated cleaning agent such as DOP until all liquid is discharged.
Final sealing: After cleaning, an appropriate amount of DOP or dioctyl ester can be injected into the system for sealing and curing to prevent internal rust and drying.
Comprehensive protection: Thoroughly clean the equipment inside and out, apply anti-rust oil, cover with a dust cover, and store in a dry, ventilated environment. Disconnect the power and air supply.
3. General Maintenance Notes
Use Original Parts and Designated Consumables: When replacing seals, filters, lubricants, etc., always use original parts and designated consumables recommended by the equipment manufacturer to ensure compatibility and reliability.
Keep Records: It is recommended to maintain detailed maintenance records, recording the time, content, and any issues found during each maintenance session, for easy tracking and planning.
Professional Operation: For complex maintenance or repair work, it is recommended to contact a professional to avoid additional damage caused by improper operation.
Safety First: All maintenance operations must be performed after the equipment has been completely shut down, pressure has been released, and power and air supplies have been disconnected to ensure safety.
